Summary: VES is looking for a Production Manager (Press, Weld, Paint & Manufacturing Operations) to join our team in Faridabad, India location. Leads Press shop, weld shop & Paint shop and support process related improvements, layout improvement, line balancing, 5 S, Kaizen activities, designing the keeping processes safety aspect at our Faridabad plant. Is expected to utilize technical problem solving, effective financial and project management skills, and sound people management to meet business objectives. 
Ensures compliance with company policies with a strong commitment to HSE. 
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Participates in and provides direction for the long-term planning of manufacturing strategies, objectives, and plans needed to deliver results. Directs the implementation of plans.   
• Aligns production standards and processes across assigned areas. Applies the TQM (Total Quality Management) approach in department activities. Maintains quality control standards.  Ensures data gathering, analysis, and corrective actions are put in place to improve performance and reduce costs.  
• Oversees structured cost reduction efforts and drives extensive cost reduction through process improvements.
• Works all functional areas to evaluate critical success factors and drive measurable significant results. Works to create and motivate an organization with high customer focus and discipline that allows the company to achieve product and service excellence that can be measured and is universally acknowledged by the customer.
• Develops and implements key performance metrics and ensures that resources are effectively utilized to achieve overall business objectives.  Ensures that operating objectives and standards of performance are understood and owned by local management and employees across product lines.
• Promotes the development and implementation of “best practices” for quality, reliability, cost-effectiveness, information integrity, etc. Encourages the automation of processes, streamlining information flow and consolidating knowledge within the company and with suppliers and customers.
• Oversees Kaizen activities to identify and analyse operational improvement opportunities and supply chain performance.   
• Participates in supplier improvement programs to maximize value and reduce waste at the supplier.

• Read, interpret and analyze safety rules, procedure manuals, work instructions, technical procedures and engineering drawings.
• Prioritize and manage time effectively and multitasking.
• Comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English.

Education & Knowledge:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with preferred.
• Experience in related fields of manufacturing has at least 10 years.
• Experience in building teams through attracting top talent, creating a collaborative and learning environment, coaching and developing direct reports and holding people accountable for achieving results.
• Experience managing customer-supplier relationships and working with both value creation and waste elimination. 
• Good communication skills.
• Should have working knowledge of SAP.

• At least 10 years of progressive responsibility of Press, Paint shop (powder & Liquid) and weld-shop
