Summary: VES is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) to join our team in Faridabad, India location. The Supplier Quality Manager (SQM) is responsible for managing and improving supplier quality performance in line with VES global integrated management system requirements and applicable standards (e.g., API Q1, ISO 9001). The role focuses on supplier evaluation, audits, performance monitoring, and corrective actions to ensure compliance, product quality, and continuous improvement, while working closely with internal teams and suppliers to meet customer and business requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensuring that the Supplier management system conforms to the requirements of API Q1/ISO 9001
  • Ensuring that processes needed for the Supplier management system are established, implemented, and maintained
  • Performing supplier initial evaluation and re-evaluation
  • Monitoring and reporting supplier performance (example, cost, delivery, quality)
  • Ensuring initiation of action(s) to address nonconformities
  • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the site.
  • Conduct audits in accordance with VES global integrated management system documentation, product realization documentation, and external documentation (example, API Q1, ISO 9001, API 7-1, API 5CT, ASME, ASNT, etc.)
  • Plan and execute audits in alignment with VES internal needs, customer's needs, audit requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Providing timely, clear, concise, and professional audit reports, highlighting non-conformities, opportunities for improvement, and compliance strengths.
  • Work closely with internal team and suppliers to guide them on corrective actions and improvements post-audit.
  • Lead audit teams during auditing activities and decide on the outcome of audits based on collected evidence
  • Gain sufficient experience across the company’s and suppliers’ products and activities
  • Assist in training other auditors
  • Participate in audits by clients and accreditation bodies (example; API, DNV)
  • Maintain all required audit credentials and undertake additional tasks as directed by management
  • Adhere strictly to internal standards, policies, and procedures

Ability to:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Read and comprehend requirements of the internal VES integrated management system, customer requirements, and industry requirements.
  • Ability to handle stress and make sound decisions during audits.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Leadership capabilities and experience managing teams to achieve objectives.
  • Show proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and with a QMS system.
  • Comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English and local language.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Qualified lead auditor (IRCA/Exemplar Global) against ISO 9001
  • Satisfactory completed an IRCA/Exemplar approved ISO 9001 Lead Auditor course
  • Detailed exposure in the oil & gas manufacturing, API Q1, API Standards and Monogram Program, ISO 9001, and Quality Management System Requirements.
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience in manufacturing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years’ work experience in manufacturing
