Summary: VES is looking for a Warehouse Representative to join our team in our Brownsville location. This person will work to performs a variaty of receiving, shipping, and warehousing functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Pulls and assembles orders and moves items to packing station or shipping area.  Ensures that products match shipping documents.  
• Prepares parcels for shipping and mailing.   Ensures method of shipment and freight transportation match shipping instructions.
• Prepares and maintains shipping documents.   
• Receives and unloads incoming deliveries including pallets, skids, and boxes using a variety of material handling equipment and safety standards.  Notes and reports damages immediately.  
• Opens bales, crates, and other containers.  Weighs or counts and records amounts of materials or items received.  Compares items to receiving documents and documents discrepancies including overages, shortages, and damaged “OS&D’s”.
• Marks materials or items with identifying information as required.
• Enters receipts into the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system (SAP).    
• Sorts, moves and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to written or verbal instructions.  Organizes and stores items in an accessible manner ensuring product is easily identifiable and tags/markings are legible.  
• Maintains clear, safe workspaces by keeping warehouse clean and organized.  
  Lubricates forklift, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.    
  Ensures that tools are properly stored, available for the job at hand and in good working order.  
• Assists with cycle counts and inventory counts.
• Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  Forklift certification and safety training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of a warehouse environment. 
• Typically, at least three years of related experience.  Experience safely driving a narrow aisle forklift.
  Experience in a similar environment, strongly preferred.
