Summary: VES is looking for Operations & Technical Support to join our team in our Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia  or Jakarta, Indonesia.  This person will work to assist and coordinate with sales and manufacturing department from order placement to delivery. Oversees assigned warehouse operations, logistics coordination and inventory management.  Assists and coordinates with the sales department to increase efficiency and revenue. Provide operational & technical support to customer base. Provides support in finishing and assembly of products on occasion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Obtains quotes for cost and lead-time from intercompany manufacturing & external machine shops and subcontractors in order to submit cost and lead time to the sales team.   
  • Processes purchase requests and production orders.
  • Follow up closely with manufacturing & machine shops to ensure delivery dates are met.    
  • Communicates order completion status to sales team and customer.
  • Reviews all sales orders for the assigned region and compare with contract & internal sales requirements.
  • Reviews sales order against technical and/or application requirements.
  • Builds relationships with customers to promote additional products and services.     
  • Facilitates freight forwarding of domestic and international shipments.      
  • Creates and expedites design request forms and engineering change notices as required. 
  • Provides after-sales customer service as required.
  • Inventory management and yearly stock take.   

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, engineering degree preferred (or minimum 5years experience in similar position).
  • Some basic knowledge of international logistics and financial terminology. 
  • Understanding of common industry metrics such as TFA, ppf, burst & collapse, stand-off. 
  • At least five years experience in operations or sales support.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP preferred) and sales, inventory and logistics-related applications.
  • Experience in a similar environment strongly preferred. 
  • Previous experience in cementing and / or completions equipment preferred.
  • Any experience in account management / customer relations would be beneficial.
